right as am bored i want to know this.

As we know a goalie cannot pick the ball back up once he drops it from his hands so why is he allowed to bounce it and then catch it?

It has all to do with control. The keeper is deemed to be in control of the ball as he bounces it. He is not deemed to be in control of it if he lets it fall for any other reason or rolls it along the ground. I think the thought process when this was written is that bouncing a ball is a deliberate and controlable act.
