Scottish Cup Rnd 5 Replay
Waterside 0 - 2 Campsie Minerva

Terrible conditions for both teams due to the cold win and rain. Pretty even first half with Minerva scoring two mins after the break then getting their second on the 90th min. Both teams missed chances today but we were happy with our win.

Balmore 3 v 6 Wishaw High School FPs

Friendly at John Cummings Stadium in Carluke.

Good run out for both sides and some good football from both sides in the conditions. Game was a 3.45pm ko and the 1st half was played in horrendous driving wind and rain but 2nd half saw it die down a fair bit which allowed both sides to play some nice stuff. Cracking set up in Carluke where the juniors have moved to although def a bit open to the elements on a day like today. All the best to Balmore for the rest of the season.

Cinema Cup 3rd Round
Grangemouth AFC 2-7 Drumchapel United AFC

Just Managed to thaw out after yesterday's game IMHO it was played in the worst conditions I've ever had the experience to come across in all my time involved with the club, with the wind & rain at our back we took a slender 1-0 lead at half time through a goal from Craig Rooney, Grangemouth scored early on in the 2nd half at this point I made my way into the changing rooms to hopefully dry out and heat up (wimp), the 2nd half seen 3 goals from Chris Craig, a goal from Craig Rooney taking his total to 2 for the match, with Craig Watters and Alex(Beansy)Clearie chipping in with a goal each, despite the weather the game was played in a sporting manner by both clubs, credit to both sets of players for playing in the conditions they had to play in.

Would like to say All the best to Grangemouth AFC for the rest of the season, and the hospitality afforded to us was superb and very much needed by all.

Under The Cosh, I thought the weather two weeks ago was far worse when we played up at Harestanes when the winds actually blew the goals down. By the end of our friendly match against Balmore yesterday up in Carluke the wind had completely died away and no rain either but 1st half was horrendous. My son's game outdoor at Ravenscraig was put off by the ref this morning as it had froze the surface water lying on the artificial surface overnight and he said it wasn't safe for the boys to start the game. Up at 7.30 this morning for hee haw. Bring on the better weather mate.
