Before I begin - these views are mine and not representative of my club (Aikenhead).
Tough one to say just now as we are finding ourselves in a similar position to last season with only 3 league games played and still in 2 cups. Our season (league wise) doesnt feel like its started yet... Out the scottish to a Drum team 2-0, who were the better team on the day. No shame in that as they are a cracking outfit. West wise, we have round 2 this weekend after 2 months of postponements... meaning IF we were to win our West Cup fixtures we'd not see a league game till mid/late feb!! haha.
Teamwise, St.Joes beat us - so have to be impressed with that considering we put 6 or 7 past them the last time we met. Finnart knocked us out the Centenary Cup, we didnt play well on the day but Finnart are a cracking side with a number or good players and will give anyone a good game.
Individually, the usual culprits come up time and time again - Kev @ St.Joes is a handful at the back or up front, even if he is a moany bassa

. Big Blair @ Finnart pulls the strings well even if he hits the deck faster than michelle mcmanus after dropping a doughnut! And of course, Drum Utd have a number of cracking players.
Teams ive not seen are hard to comment on but Colville seem to be the team to beat this season in the Majors. Whilst, St.Joes/Castlemilk have both seemingly turned a corner in the SAFL and are motoring on nicely. Harp/Colville have picked up a number of cracking players from Strathy Uni over the summer and will be a hard teams to beat, with Colville also signing Dingwall who is a seasoned player at the Junior Ranks.
Not seen any ayrshire teams this season so cant really say much there. Only other team i see often is my mates team St.Davids who play in the Glasgow Colleges league - and for a sat am team they are very good. Couple of really tidy players there who have played at better levels - if they entered the majors i think they could cause a wee upset or 2!
