Does anyone know how young can a player be to compete in an SAFA affiliated competition? (Skye and Lochalsh Football League)

Couldn't find an answer on the SAFA website, and if there isn't such a rule imposed by the SAFA themselves, I thought it may come down to a blanket SAFA insurance policy detail. Or is it just "if hes good enough, hes old enough!"?

Not aware of any lower age restriction but if clubs have young players they have to take account of their responsibilities on child protection etc. I thought 17 was the break point but I'm not certain about that.

I've been dealing with the SFA Registration Department on another matter. I asked them if there was a minimum age and they said there wasn't.
